Some spring buys ~

So what do you know I have another blog post and it hasn't been 5 months... *pats self on back* I've been quite busy lately but I slipped into K-mart with a friend no more then a month ago and picked up these bits. Wait I lie, I picked up 1 lip stick & teen vogue and then later on in the week I picked up a few other lipsticks at a local Rite Aid. The one I purchased is from k-mart and it's called SugarPlum Fairy by Wet N' Wild's mega last lipstick collection. I'd describe it as a deep- subtle yet can be viewed as a vibrantly statement purple . I first heard about this lipstick from Sam aka beauty crush, she stated that it's a dupe for MAC's Rebel and I completely agree the color is called Sugarplum Fairy, rem peeps this is important! :p Before I rave about this lipstick Let me first off say that I think Wet N Wild as a company is completely underrated. Although I've been tempted to purchase Rebel from MAC and have swatched the color in person, witness and suggest my friend to purchase it I think SugarPlum fairy is a great alternative. I think Rebel is slightly better quality due to the general hold of the lipstick. Did I mention sugarplum fairy was only $1.99? Rebel is like $15+... I don't think so honey booboo (yes I just said honeybooboo) not when you can get something identical and just as good for cheaper. I love MAC but you can't beat that. Now the next two lipsticks I purchased are also by Wet N' Wild and they're called Dollhouse pink and 511b. Dollhouse pink is a matte finish and it's incredibly vibrant and definitely a statement lipstick. It kind of reminds me of candy yum yum by mac and OCC's lip tar in the shade Nylon although I haven't seen the color in person i've seen tons of photos and videos of girls wearing it. I quite like DP(dollhouse pink) but I would probably wear it with a more subtle eye makeup. I also think DP has a pastel lavender undertone to it I took some photos of swatches down below with and without flash. On to 511b, this is such a pretty lustre type fushcia. The color glides on your lips and is quite pigmented but subtle and a steal at only $0.99. As you can seen I also purchased this month's teen vogue, I literally purhase one whenever I want... Other than me just genuinely enjoying buying a single one each month... I'd probably save a lot if I subscribe to the magazine but I hate having magazines of people I dislike or am not a fan of who happened to be on the front cover, stupid I know lol. I'm not too sure who Shay mitchell is honestly (contradictory) but I thought she looked very pretty and familiar and the front cover just made me think of spring, I still haven't read this yet... Believe it or not but Teen vogue is one of my favorite fashion magazines along with Vogue. I like the fresh and open, trendy takes on teen vogue yet the classic modern twist Vogue has as a magazine.

Outfit Of the day! 6/8/12

Hello beauties! :) It's been quite a while since I last made a post on here and don't get me wrong I have been taking some pictures but I've just been in a eh mood. I kept telling myself I wasn't going to do a post until prom cause ju alreadi know babybie. Ok lol let me stop, but yeah I don't really go to any cool places or anything so the pictures I did take I feel like they're just kinda--- I don't know? Stupid....  Eh whatever. I shall be uploading my pictures from prom soon (and taking a few more), Arrrrrrrrrrrgh I'm so tempted to talk about it but I will try to contain myself haha. So anyways this post is just my outfit of the day for last Friday 6/8/12 I wore it to the yearbook distribution at my school even though I didn't get a yearbook----- long story, my fault. Lol btw I recently purchased the most awesome leggings ever. They were $16.99 at strawberry and extremely comfortable. I must admit $16.99 is a bit pricey for my leggings (it's ok you can slap me for thinking cheap) but these were worth it. They are a bit harder for me to style because they aren't your basic black legging. They kind of remind me of the American Apparel Disco Pant, and the Tricot legging because they are high waisted. I wore these bad boy leggings to an after prom party and I can't wait to post my outfit for that. Okayyyyy, I'll shutup about prom now. I also bought this badass butterfly-skull tank at h&m for only $4.95, when I saw the price and how cute it was I had to have it. I think the skull and the cutt of it adds that edgyness to the tank, while the butterfly and the light and darking contrasting shades of blue represent the feminine sides of the tank. Here's a few pictures and an ootd video I snagged real quick: (did I mention the weather in Ny has been absolutely awesome recently?)

I'M ALIVE! & I got ice-cream, nail polish and funky button downs? :o

Hey gawjusssss pepz! I know, I know. I seriously can't believe it's been nearly 7 months since I've last made a post on here, I know that no one really looks at my blog lol (as much as I hope someone , ANYONE, is reading this haha) granted it's been a really long time. Like every blogger says, "I don't want to slack on this blog" I ended up doing so. Shame on me. (BOOO) Although, I have been having the urge to upload pictures/ post more and to just enter the blogging world again with training wheels of course lol. I have many excuses and reasons why I haven't been doing so, but let me not bore any one to death. Oh yeah, I saw the avengers yesterday! It was AWESOMEKEBNEINEEEEPEj1p9oj12j29j2. Yup, that was totally necessary. But seriously, it was awesome. It's kinda crazy too, how much me and my friends went through just to see that one movie. From Renee and John almost turning into the hulk because we got there a bit late (the movie theatre was packed as a goats ya know what by the way) and having to go through a confirmation process because we all purchased our tickets online, it was all just a mess. My two friends Rita, Kiran and I saw the movie separately from Renee and John because they ordered their tickets at an earlier timing and blah blah blah... lol long story short Me, Rita and Kiran saw the avengers at amc, our seats sucked, but the movie was great and pure genius. I really should stop talking about the movie, and Captain America was so stunning ihah2hihihs8h8s along with Thor everyone looked hot--- mkay whatevs. So today, as you all know, ok ya don't know lol, I do not own a camera other than my ipod so I hijacked my sisters digital camera and took a whole bunch of pictures to show you lovely people. I have a nail polish haul and a thrift clothing haul, I got some funky cool button downs, HOLLA! Haha ok, I also went to my aunts house today and took some pictures on my way there of the scenery outside cause it was GORGEOUS out. I don't know why I'm capitalizing some words here, I guess to emphasize and exaggerate? Lol whatever so yeah here goes nothing, I hope ya'll enjoy:

So I got these awesome China Glaze nail polishes at Sally Hansen beauty supply! It was my first time going in there as well as purchasing China Glaze nail polish lol... These were $5 each and when you buy two, you get one free! So $10 for all 3 nail polishes, pretty good deal. I really want to get more, I love the formulation of China Glaze. :)

The colors are Shower Together, Rich & Famous, and Up All Night. I get compliments on shower together a lot!

I recently I discovered a brand called SPOILED Nail polishes at Cvs and all their polishes are only $1.99 so I kind of went crazy, the funny thing is my neighborhood circular said they were on sale for $0.99 but the guy at the cashier said it's $1.99 which is already quite affordable so I just went ahead and bout them anyway :o they are such cute colors, I kind of want to buy more lighter and springy colors for the Spring & summer so yeah my nail hiatus is not over people!

The shown are Visually Slimming, Hit The Brakes, Two Weeks Sober, and Totally Amazing. :D
I'm wearing Visually Slimming on my toes now! See look: (excuse my terrible pedicure skills)

My less recent nail polish purchases are from the brands SINFUL COLORS PROFESSIONAL, NYC, & B.S.N purchased from cvs, target and the dollar store.
The colors are in: MANHATTAN 248

SCANDAL 855
ARMY RAT 10 &

AQUA 10

So that pretty much somes it all up for my purchases with nail polishes, now onto the clothing part. I was really inspired by Tyler the Creators designs at the odd future pop up shop he opened for a bit here in New York. They were quirky and different, so I went to the thrift store shortly after and picked up some inspired shirts.

I bought each clothing item from the Unique thrift store.

TRUE GRIT BUTTON DOWN - $3.00

Sorry these shirts may be kind of creased :( I didn't have time to iron them

EIGHTY-8 BUTTON DOWN $2.00

MARTINI BUTTON DOWN $2.00

POLKA DOT PALM TREE BUTTON DOWN $2.00

So that's it for my clothing haul, I also bought this rad green blazer but I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it, sorry about that. Now I'm just going to post some random pictures from my day and the gorgeous scenery.

Until next time folks! xoxo ;)

Two words: Alice dellal.

Before I post a few pictures of this lovely beautiful woman, I must say she's a huge inspiration to me. Not only cause she has a sidecut, has a british accent, is also brazilian and awesome lol but because her style is so amazing. Some people might call her outfits "outrageous" or whatever, but she pulls off the grunge look so well. She makes me proud to be Brazilian and to have a sidecut, not that I ever wasn't but women like her, who are tough, unique and beautiful all at the same time who also happen to share an ethnicity and hairstyle as you make you feel a bit more accepted in this world. Notice how I said world, and not society. If I wanted to feel accepted by society, I'd buy 12 pair of the newest jordans and get me some skinny jeans to match all 12 of my jordans, and go follow everyone else around me. I don't mean to downgrade anyone who wears jordans, I've owned a few pairs in my past life, and when I say past life, I mean past life, like LONG long ago and 6 feet under. I honestly never really liked them or how they looked, I didn't understand why kids went so crazy over them, but I did like the attention I got from when I wore them and falsely connecting with people who had the same ones I may have had on. It was hard for me to be myself back then, if that makes any sense lol. But as I got older, I grew the courage to just start over and be me, be britt. Even though everybody hated her(hence my name), this new persona, but the real me, I could care less, cause I was happy. Btw I shall stop rambling and continue yapping how gorgeous Alice dellal is, lol. But yeah Alice is beautiful, I don't know how many times I could say that without getting tired, (Alice is beautiful, Alice is beautiful, Alice is beautiful) lol aha but yeah, she seems like a really genuine person, cause I know her like totally personally(I wish). Lol oh and by the way, I just discovered there is a blogger app for the itouch, so if you're wondering I am creating this post with my itouch, and no luck with a computer just yet but hopefully I will gain access to one soon or haven't own lol.... Btw, here's just a few of my favorite pictures of Alice:
